Recycled Bike Chain Earrings

Working with my hands is always something I find enjoyable. From changing spark plugs and oil in my car to welding to painting. I love it all! Naturally, jewelry making found its way into my heart and hobbies. Little did I know at the time that this could be as lucrative as it is enjoyable.

The first few pairs of earrings were practice and went into my personal collection. As I continued to work, I became more efficient and the pieces were looking better and better. What used to take an hour to make one pair now only takes 20 minutes.

Cleaning and breaking the bike chain apart is the most time consuming part of this process, but since I clean in bulk I only have to do it once a year. I will show how it’s done in an upcoming post.

These earrings are so fun to wear and receive lots of compliments! They make great gifts for cyclists of all kinds! Check out http://madrivermakings.etsy.com to see more styles and colors, or reach out with any questions or custom orders!

As always, made in Montana with love and recycled bicycle parts.
